At Camp Ponderoo, pickers get to work with FY5, a veteran bluegrass and roots music band from Colorado, on arranging, jamming, and performing acoustic music with other players from around the country.

As experienced instructors and captivating performers, FY5 has not only toured the US for over a decade, playing everything from large festivals to small coffee shops, but the band has taught camps and workshops to bluegrass and folk musicians, from beginner to advanced levels, often in the week before some not-to-be-missed festival.

With programming for fiddle, mandolin, bass, guitar, banjo, singing, harmony and songwriting, the band teaches in a student-centered style, where pickers are jamming, working on arrangements, polishing vocal harmonies, workshopping lyrics, and eventually performing with their peers. The band's instructional approach has nudged many amateurs to professional status through the years, and has cemented life-long enjoyment in music for thousands of pickers.

We invite you to join us for Camp Ponderoo on Sunday, June 18 through Wednesday, June 21 at the Sisters Art Works building in Sisters, Oregon.
