WHERE TO STAY

Big Ponderoo camping reservations are now open at three convenient locations in Sisters. Additional camping for the festival can be found at Indian Ford Campground, Cold Spring Campground and dispersed camping on the plentiful National Forest land surrounding Sisters.

VEHICLE AND RV CAMPING - SISTERS HIGH SCHOOL

This camping is available only to Weekend Pass ticket holders (or volunteers) attending the 2025 Big Ponderoo festival. It is located 1.7 miles from the festival venue.

  • All spaces are on pavement in an area of the SHS parking lot; you must sleep in your RV or vehicle.

  • 18' x 19' Camper or Passenger Vehicle: $110/space

  • 18' x 38' Large RV: $160/space

    • ​These fees cover all three nights (Fri, June 27 - Sun, June 29) regardless of when you arrive. Single-night reservations are not available.​

  • This is dry camping with no hookups.

  • Check-in hours on Fri, June 27 are from 2:00 - 9:00 pm, on Sat, June 28 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, and campers must leave no later than 9:00 am on Mon, June 30. 

  • Quiet hours between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am daily.

  • Porta-potties and hand-washing stations will be provided.

  • No open flames on the property, including charcoal grills. Gas cookstoves may be used.

  • Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after. Please do not leave your dog unattended and barking for long periods of time.

TENT CAMPING - SISTERS ART WORKS

This tent camping is available only to Weekend Pass ticket holders (or volunteers) attending the 2025 Big Ponderoo festival. It is located 0.5 miles from the festival venue. This campground is for tent campers ONLY and is on level grass. Do not reserve if you are bringing a van or RV.

  • 15' x 15' Tent Camping: $85/space

    • This fee covers all three nights (Fri, June 27 - Sun, June 29) regardless of when you arrive. Multiple tents are allowed in the space, but you must stay within the allotted area and everyone in your party must have a weekend pass to attend Big Ponderoo or be a volunteer. Single-night reservations are not available.

  • This is dry camping with no hookups. 

  • All camp gear will need to be transported from the parking lot to the lawn behind Sisters Art Works (vehicles may not drive on the grass), so plan accordingly. Maximum distance to travel is approximately 100 feet.

  • Vehicles must then be moved and parked on the street, not in the SAW parking lot. All street parking in Sisters is free.

  • Check-in hours on Fri, June 27 are from 2 - 9 pm, on Sat, June 28 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, and campers must leave no later than 9:00 am on Mon, June 30. Check-in for this site is at the campsite; enter through the parking lot. 

  • Quiet hours between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am daily.

  • Porta-potties and hand-washing stations will be provided.

  • No open flames on the property, including charcoal grills. Gas cookstoves may be used in a way that doesn’t damage the lawn.

  • No dogs are allowed at this campsite. (Service animals exempt)

RV CAMPING - SHEPHERD OF THE HILLS

This RV camping is available to Weekend Pass ticket holders (or volunteers) attending the 2025 Big Ponderoo festival. It is located 0.4 miles from the festival venue for easy walking or biking. Available for camper vans, cabover campers, self-contained driving RVs and pull behind camp trailers. Due to site constraints we can't accommodate fifth wheel trailers at this campground.

Details: 

  • 14'x36' RV: $160/space

  • 14'x50' Large RV: $185/space 

    • ​These fees cover all three nights (Fri, June 27 - Sun, June 29) regardless of when you arrive. Single-night reservations are not available.​

  • This is dry camping with no hookups. 

  • All campers will enter the area on Larch Street.

  • RVs/camp trailers/camper vans must be no longer than 36′.

  • If towing a vehicle causes the rig to exceed dimensions of the space, the towed vehicle will have to detach and park on the street.

  • Check-in hours on Fri, June 27 are from 2:00 - 9:00 pm, on Sat, June 28 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, and campers must leave no later than 9:00 am on Mon, June 30. 

  • This site is located adjacent to a residential area. Please be considerate and act in a way you would wish visitors to your neighborhood to act.

  • Quiet hours between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am daily (no generator use during quiet hours).

  • Porta-potties will be provided but we strongly encourage you to use your own self-contained facilities.

  • No open flames on the property, including charcoal grills. Gas cookstoves may be used.

  • Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after. Please do not leave your dog unattended and barking for long periods of time.

Please note: Overnight camping is not allowed on city property, including parks and the “right-of-way” – defined as the space between the street and property line, often seen around Sisters as the gravel shoulders where a sidewalk may be built. Specific signed RV parking spots exist around town, but overnight camping inside the parked vehicle is prohibited.
